Patrick Hindert is Managing Director of S2KM Limited. He graduated from Harvard College and the University of Michigan Law School.
Hindert is member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA), the Society of Settlement Planners (SSP), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Academy of Special Needs Planners (ASNP) and the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals (NAMSAP).
Prior to entering the structured settlement industry in 1977, Hindert taught French and coached varsity tennis at Cranbrook Academy in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and practiced trust and estates law in Michigan and Ohio.
Hindert has been a leader within the structured settlement industry since 1977. He previously served as President of Benefit Designs, Inc. (1977-98), a national structured settlement broker, and NSSTA (1990-91) as well as Executive Director of SSP (2003).
Hindert authors S2KM's blog "Beyond Structured Settlements" as well as "The Structured Settlement Wiki". With Daniel Hindert and Joseph Dehner, Hindert authors "Structured Settlements and Periodic Payment Judgments" published by Law Journal Press and updated semi-annually.
Hindert appears frequently as a featured speaker at national conferences sponsored by professional associations including: NSSTA, SSP, NASP, NAELA, ASNP, and NAMSAP. He served as keynote speaker at the first national structured settlement conference in Australia in 1994. He provided expert testimony to the United States House Ways and Means Committee in 1981 prior to enactment of the Periodic Payment Settlement Act of 1982.
